Programs ![]() In-Vest USA maintains three national programs to help protect those who protect us. Vest Distribution We purchase and distribute vests. Our criteria for vest distribution to agencies are as follows: - There must truly be a need. - Agencies must have a mandatory “wear-your-vest” policy. - Agencies that have active community support through In-Vest USA will be given preferential priority. - Agencies must apply for any grants or government assistance available. *** More information can be obtained by logging on to www.vests.ojp.gov. Fundraising We help communities and corporate sponsors with fundraising. We do this by providing public relations materials, connecting people to volunteers in their communities, sharing ideas for successful programs and arranging logistics for vest give-aways. Public Awareness/Education We help build public awareness through the media and events. Unfortunately, many people are still unaware of the problem. They are under the misconception that all police officers are given vests as part of their equipment. We alert the public to the problem, advocate for government solutions and build relationships with decision-makers who can help make sure that no law enforcement officer goes without a life-saving vest. One of the most dramatic ways we do this is through public vest give-aways. |
